1.China trade in 2015

As the world trade, China export declined only 2.9%, but Import from the world decreased -14.2%, as the result trade balance (surplus) increased 593 billion US$+55.1%. This nnmber is the biggest.

USA; USA is the biggest importer from China. But the above number is differnet from the "Census base" of USA. For instance in 2014, USA imported from China=466,754 milllion$, and exported to China=123,676 million$. In 2015 USA imported from China=481,881 million$ and exported to China116,186 million$. For instande in 2015, Census based import is -15%, and in 2014=-15%. This difference probably came from imoprt from Hong Kong. Chinese companies often use Hong Kong as "intermediary" to export to USA.

USA's trade balance with China is in 2014=-343,079 million$ and in 2015=-365,695 million$.(Census basis statistics) The annual difference exceeds 100 billion$.

EU; China exported 355,.9 billion US$, -4.0%, but import was 208.9 billion US$-14.5%. This decrease import from EU affected the economic situation of EU. Chinese trade surplus against EU was 147 billion$ (+16.1%). This reflects the workes of EU lost big number of employment.

Germany: Chinese export to Germany was 69.2 billion $, -4.9%, but import from Germany was 87.6 billion$-16.6%. The economy of Germany was damaged so far. But Germany is only one country which recorded trade surplus against China.

UK ; UK was miseable. China exported to UK 59.6 Billion$,(+4.3%) but imported 18.9 billion$ only(-20.2%). UK had little exporting item to China, like a poor developping country.. The trade deficit of UK against China was 40.6 billion$, increaed +21.6%. Probably the manufacturing industry of UK is getting weeker.

Japan: China exported to Japan 135.7 billion$ (-9.2%), but imported from Japan 143.0 billion $ (-12.3%). However Japan maintained export surplus 7.3 billion$. Both countries decrease export and import significantly.

S.Korea: China exported 101.3 billion$ (+1.0%), but China decreased import from S.Korea 174.5 billion$ (-8.2%). S.Korea maintained the trade surplus 73.2 billion$, decreased from 2014, (-18.5&). For S.Korea, China is the biggest trade partner, so S.Koreas's decrease of export to China is a big problem for the country. Chinese cheap commodities now fllod in S/Korea, so even Post recorded the first loss since its starting up.

Taiwan:: China export to Taiwan 44.9 billon (-3.0%), import fromTaian was 143.3 billion$(-5.7%). Trde surplus of Taiwan is 98.4 billlion$(-6.9%), still big amount. ButTaiwan exports to China fo Taiwan's own subsidiary companies. Taiwancan not increase its export to China, so prdinary people do not expect to China so much.

ASEAN: ⇒
See next page
China exported to ASEAN 277.5 billion$ (+2.0%), but import from AEAN was 194.7 billion$(-6.6%> China enjoys trade surplus against ASEAN 82.8 billion$ (+29.9%). China usually says trade between China and ASEAN is
"win-win" relation, but the constant winner is China and poor loser is ASEAN.

Thailand; China exported to Thailand 38.2 billion$(+11.7%), on the contarry, China imported from Thailand 37.2 billion$(-3.1%). As the result China recorded trade surplus against Thailand 1.1 billion$. This trend will continue in the future, because formaerly China imported electronics parts from THailand, but recently China made them domesically.

Malaysia: Chinese export to Malaysia was 44 billion$ (-5.1%, import from Malaysia was 53.3 bilion$(-4.2%. Malaysia maintained export surplus 9.3 bilion$, but surplus is decreasing yearafter year.

Indonesia; China exported Indonesia 34.3 billion$ (-12.1%), imported from Indonesia 19.9 billion$(-18.9%). Trade deficit of Indonesia was 14.4 billion$. So big figure for Indonesia. Additionally, Indonesia is importing Chinese products through Singapore, even though the amount is unknown here.

Philippines; China exported to the Philippines 26.6 billion$ (+13..6%), and imported 19.0 billion$ (-9.6%9. Trade deficit of the Philipines was 7.7 billion$(+208.9%). Philllipines has the same problem as Thailand. he exports of electronics pars and computor parts to china are declining. Metal materials also decresed signidicantly.

Vietnam; China exported to Vietnam 66.1 billion$ (+3.7%), but imported 29.8 billion$ (+49.9%). But, Vietnam still has huge amount of trade deficit against China , 36.3 billion$. Vietnam has still small items to export to Chiana.

India; China exported to India 58.2 billion$ (+7.4%), but import decreased to 13.4 billion$(-18.3%). Actually India can not export iron ore to China, so India has small items for export. Trade deficit of India was 44.9 billion$. No way to improve this situation for India
.

2.Individual countries

2-1.EU:
Chinese exports decreased -4.0%, but imports decreased more-14.5%. As the result Chinese trade surpluss increased 147 billion$(+16.1%). The biggest export item is XVI, machinery, Electronics,146billion$(share;41.1%), the 2nd item is XI Textile51.4billion$(share;14.4%). These 2items share is 55.5%. EU can improve trade balance, if EU considers the development these fblicating industries.

S.Korea

South Korea had enjoyed huge trade surplus from China. China had imported electronics and electric parts from S.Korea and assembled them then exported other world. Samsun contributed very much about this trade.

Slower growth in China is the biggest risk as the main market for all industries is China

.As about 68 percent of South Korea’s shipments to China are of intermediary goods, a downturn in the Chinese economy squeezes demand for Korean exports.

Because China is exporting less of the goods it makes, the world’s biggest trading nation is also buying less of the materials needed for its supply chain. China begins to make these intermediary materials domestically. Another problem is structural: China wants to shift its growth model from one centered on manufacturing to more of a focus on services and consumption.

TAIWAN

Taiwan exportted to China 143.3 billion$ -5.7% in 2015. The peak was in 2013 .67.5% was XVII (Machinary, Electronics parts) and XVIII (Optical machine, Clock etc) was 10.9%. These 2 items were 78.4%. Most of them was "parts" and in China, these were assembled and exported to the world.

Taiwan's exports to China are gradually decreasing, so Taiwan people can not expect so much exports to China now.Only big Taiwan compnies have strong relation with China, and common Taiwanese have relatively small interests with China. They are nervous about the arrogance of Chinese.

As whole, 40% of Taiwan's exports to the world are electronics.

China exported 44.9 billion$ in 2015. XVII (Machinary, Electronics parts) was 52.5%. Taiwan is exporting PC assembled in China. Other items are consumed in Taiwan and some portions are re-exported..

Japan

In 2015, Japan exported 143.0 billion$, -12.3% from 2014. In 2011, Japan had exported to China 194.6 billion$, so in 2015 Japanese export decreased -26.5%. XVI (Machinary, Electronics etc) is the biggest item in 2015, its share is 45.5%, but amount is 65.0 billion$ decreased from 93.8 billion in 2011, -30.7%. This is because Japanese electronics companies in China had not been so successful. The second reason is many parts manufacturers were established in China.

Almost all items had decreased since 2011 to 2015.XVII (Vehicles $ parts)decreased -28.0%(18.0 billion to 13.0 billion). XV (Base metal)-35.0%(20.8 billion$to 13.6 billion4). VII (Plastics) -14.2% (16.9 billion$ to 14.5 billion$) and soo on. Japanese makers established many factories in China which maybe the major reason for this export's decline.

Regarding Chinese exports to Japan, in 2015, 135.7 billion$ -9.2% compared with 2014. However China had maintained anual export around 150 billion$ until 2014.

Trade balance (Table3) is still in favour of Japan in 2015 Japan's surplus is 7.3 billion$, but in 2011 Japn's surplus was 55.6 billion$, decreased 87%. . The Japan's surplus will be zero within a few years.

India

India has very small items to export to China. In 2011, India exported iron ore and cool to China 11,026 milUS$, but the Indian goverment prohibited export of natural resources, so in 2015, V(mineral and oil) decreased to 1,875 milUS$, only 17% compared with 2011. Now the biggest item of exports is XI (textile), in 2015=2,606 milUS$, decreased -43.7% compared with 2013. India has very small caapcity of producing XVI (machinery & electronics), so India has no measure to sell these irtem. As the result, Indian export to China decreasing since 2011 for every year. The miserable situation.

On the other hand, the export of China to India are increasing comfortably every year. In 2015 is 48,240 million$, except textile, almost all the manufacturing goods increased. India has lfew items to xport to China As the result, India's trade balance with China minus 44,860 million$. Too big amount considering India's export.

United Kingdom

UK looks like an underdevelopped country regarding the trade with China. In 2015, UK decreased export to China -20.2% to 18,937 mil$, while import from China 59,581mil $+4.3%. This trade patter is similar to India, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. UK's export covers only 31.8%. Considering the difference between "CIF" and "FOB", UK's export ration agaist import is smaler.
The manufacturing industries of UK became extremely weak since Thatcherism. She had destroyed the trade unions and the manufacturing indusries.

Actually, UK has small export items to China.Only XVII Vehicles has some advantage, but it lost -35.2% in 2015.

USA

Below table's source is "The China Custom", and differnt from the figures of US "Census Basia", US Departmen of Commerce.

USA had recorded huge amount of trade deficit with China, every year.

American decline is a popular narrative these days. It’s a central feature of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign -- you can’t “make America great again” unless America isn’t-so-great right now. Although Trump often seems disconnected from reality, on this issue he has a point. The U.S. is in decline. Fortunately, the slide isn’t severe, and there’s probably time to arrest its progress or prevent it from accelerating.
