I felt something difference. Because Alfaromeo which I drove in the Milan has difference pedal feeling compare with Focus. Only 4 days drive changed my drive feeling.

Today, I drove to the Milano airport directly. And I went for centre of Milan by the Malpensa Express to eat lunch. This picture is Madonna del Gissalo. I couldn't buy special batch. But I could buy strap at the museum.
Then I drove to the hotel in Como via lake side road. This road is tough to drive. Because there is not any curve mirror and rental car was Alfaromeo., even I requested Fiat 500.
I saw Japan national team car in front of Mendorisio station in the morning. But I didn't look them during race. Why didn't they support Japanese rider by car? I think it crashed before race and couldn't support. Fortunately, any team didn't entry in-between escape group and main group during long escape.
And it was interesting that Italian police car support the race even in Switzerland. May be there is not enough person who trained to support professional bicycle race in Italian speaking region of Switzerland. Therefore Italian police support them. Because they can use Italian as uniform language.

Basically German low remit to make sound after PM 10:00 and before AM 7:00. Thus I uses washing machine before PM 8:00 or after Am 7:00. Of course, it's possible to use on Saturday. Sometimes, I start washing machine when I start to bike training.
I prefer to not make sounds by using washing machine and cleaning machine and electrical tools on Sunday. may be neighbour claims you immediately.

Last German national holiday was 1st June. And next holiday will be 3rd Oct. But it's Saturday. Therefore actual next holiday will be 25th and 26th December. So there is only few national holiday in Germany compare with Japan. May be, it's better to go for other country in 3rd Oct.
Comparison in-between Ergo Power and STI part 2 （20/09/2009)
I think it's depends on the person how adapt on each operation procedure. For me, STI is no problem.
I compared how I have to use my finger power to wound up shift wire. So STI is easier than Ergo Power. Because I can use my forefinger, middle finger and annular finger. And I can use all part of finger. In case of Ergo Power. I have to push lever only top of forefinger and middle finger. So you can imagine STI can push lever with low power even friction loss is same each other.
In case of wire release, the friction is same each other. But STI has strong advantage. I felt that I have to shift my hand when I would like to release wire with Ergo Power. Because release lever is inside of bracket. But I don't need to shift my hand with Shimano STI.
Of course Shimano could select best operation procedure without any limitation, because there was not any competitor when Shimano developed STI. So I feel the affliction of chaser from Ergo Power.
Comparison in-between Ergo Power. and STI part 1 （19/09/2009)
I will explain the comparison result in-between STI and Ergo Power. I bought both myself. Therefore I can explain my real feeling.
At first, I'd like to explain about bracket grip feeling. I don't know old version Ergo Power. I feel 09 Ergo Power. and STI has same feeling. Ergo Power. is better than STI if I hand bracket without grove. But I couldn't difference when I wear grove. So Shimano and Campagnolo developed new product by checking competitor each other. Therefore they are in same direction.
STI has one good point. I use this position in relax ride. Ergo Power. is impossible to use this position because of availability of release lever.
Good item in the Germany （19/09/2009)
I prefer to use FM transmitter during drive a car. Because I couldn't understand German FM program. So I'm listening music and Podcast in my iPod via FM transmitter. I couldn't buy it before because of German law didn't accept it. But it's possible to buy now. I don't mind sound feeling. Do you need good sound in car which is running over than 160km with high rpm engine sound?
Handle position of cycrocross （18/09/2009)
I changed handle position of cycrocross by using thought the height of column.
I checked gear shift performance. It's better than Campagnolo. Of course there is one advantage. The gear difference is only 8T. I thought the reason of heavy function of Campagnolo and Shimano front derailer was lever ratio. But, actually it's strangeness of spring. May be, it's better to use low cost version Shimano front derailer with Ergo Power.

Please look picture. I didn't calibration but my camera has horizontal indicator. so you can look how bracket rise in my bike setting roughly. I set up two bikes to have same bracket angle as 78 Dura ace set up.
In this setting, the angle of my wrist is natural in case of horizontal angle lower arm riding style. I think Shimano designed this STI bracket by listening European rider's opinion. Because a lot of European rider does same setting as me, and European head quarter of Shimano is in Netherlands.

I picked up my bike and bring to my car. Then one guy asked me "How about your bike?" Because he'd like to know estimation by actual customer not shop or magazine. I think it's good bike even compare with Look KG281. He looks to satisfy with my comment.
So first check is finished. I changed bar tape to blue. It looks good. And also I requested to cut column only with 5mm spacer.
And also I requests to re-set wiring because handle height is changed.

Priority claim date is November 1988, therefore already their patent right is finished. Campagnolo and Sram couldn't supply dual control lever which brake lever is possible to change gear like Shimano STI, because of limitation of this patent. May be, both of them will not supply same type lever as Shimano. I recognized that Shimano STI was thought deeply which type is better for human hand to control both of brake and gear. Actually, Campagnolo Super Record doesn't have good performance compare with even Shimano 105 level.

I brought my bike to the shop in the evening. Then I checked price of carbon type crank of Shimano Dura Ace. It's Euro 799. Bike24 sells it as Euro 699. I think Bike24 is cheapest shop in the Europe, which is cheaper than Wiggle in the UK. Therefore Vonhact is not expensive shop even they are manufacture shop.

New shoes looks wide toe style compare with DMT OEM version. So I'd like to check this shoes. But there is not any distributor around Hamburg. Even Time head quarter web site, it shows only French, Spanish and USA information. Is it better to ask to Time directly?

Agenda of Shimagnolo or how to correct front derailer of Campagnolo （05/09/2009)
Today's diary is agenda of how to correct front derailer. Because I did fine correction of it to get best performance.
1) Fix front derailer. It's better to fix as back end is out side position. Parallel with chain ring is not good. Because chain and outer side wing conflict each other at outer and top condition. Height is low as possible.
I couldn't fix derailer as this setting. Therefore I used a file.
2) Fix wire as temporary position. At first I expand wire. Then I checked derailer angle is correct or not by pulling wire. If it's correct outer side guide will touch to chain simultaneously front end and back end at outer & top condition. Of course, I checked height is OK to not jam chain.

3) Inner & Low condition. I screwed additionally 360 degree to touch chain more after best condition of inner guide to avoid to touch with chain. Change rear gear to 5 or 6, which both of guide don't touch to chain. Then fix wire with good tension.
4) Outer & Low condition. Use trip one notch. Then I checked between inner guide and chain. If guide touch chain I screwed inner side correction screw 90 degree to left direction. If guide has space with chain I screwed it 90 degree to right direction. Of course guide doesn't move because I screwed for inner side. Please don't care result in this step.
5) Inner & 5 or 6 condition which both of guide don't touch to chain. Remove wire and re-fix again. Please give same tension to the wire in this step.
6) Do Step 4) and 5) several times. Finally I screwed 45 degree for fine correction. Best setting is inner guide doesn't touch to chain at Outer & Low and one notch. trim with minimum space.
This picture is observed Outer & Low with 1 notch. trim. I can use outer gear with one notch. I can use Outer and 4 to 10 with this setting.
The purpose of this step is to get best wire tension for trim position. Of course, it's possible to correct by changing pulling tension during wire fix part. But it's not easy. And also it's possible to correct this part by using outer guide of bike frame if it has correction function like my Look KG281.
7) Outer & Top condition. Correct outer side correction screw to not touch outer guide and chain with minimum space.
8) Check gear shift function from inner to outer. If Ergo Power. cause noise at final outer notch. stroke is not enough. There is possibility to break Ergo Power. In this case, screw outer side correction screw to get more space between chain and outer guide. If do this correction procedure, check conflict between chain and inner guide at Outer & 3 or 4 position. If chain touch with inner guide, change wire tension setting in step 4) to 6) to have more space between inner guide and chain at Outer & Low and use one notch. trim.
9) Inner & Low condition. Correct inner side correction screw to minimum space between chain and inner guide. Don't mind inner side trim function. Because chain will conflict with chain ring even good front derailer setting.
So, these procedure is not explained by instruction setting from Campagnolo. But I think well trained mechanic man do same procedure for best setting.

09 type Campagnolo Super Record
79 type Shimano Dura Ace
They have strong difference each other. Shimano has large clearance even best shift performance. Campagnolo has to use these narrow width front derailer to get good performance. Shimano 105 is better performance compare with Super record.
Therefore Campagnolo user has to take care front derailer frequently. I think it's not real racing goods. Finally I finished to correct front derailer with best performance. I will up date about it tomorrow. I think my Campagnolo bike has good performance.

doesn't cut power for cigar socket even main switch is cut. Therefore I have to remove FM transmitter after drive to keep battery power. Today I remove transmitter from cigar socket, then it broke, because it has fuse and the connector removed.
The problem was top of pin did short circuit. Car function is OK, but cigar socket doesn't supply power. May be fuse is cut by short circuit. So I checked instruction manual. But I couldn't which fuse support cigar socket. But I found drawing on the lid of fuse box. So I can use FM transmitter now.
Terrible design （01/09/2009)
I mistook the number of washer of chain catcher. Therefore I had to re set up of front derailer of both of bikes.
I finished total set up of new bike which uses 79 Dura Ace only with 3 minutes. But 09 Super Record is terrible. Because the front derailer of this has narrow width wing at upper side and wide width at bottom side. Thus, I had to use some of technic and knowledge to get best performance.
The reason is simple. The chain ring of Campagnolo component doesn't have good function like Shimano. Therefore Campagnolo has to design front derailer like this. May be, pro team mechanic can finish to set up Dura Ace set up bike easily compare with Campagnolo. It means they can use their time to other special care for racer.
