Today (31/03/2008)
I take holiday. Our holiday of 2007 calendars year is useful until today. So I toke holiday today. I used 19 day for 20 day in 2007 year. It is first time that change to 20 days from 15 days. So it is important to show we used full of holiday to company. I used 19 holiday, but total holiday is same as 5 days in Japan, because there are many national holiday in Japan.
I run today also. I felt front part of may legs are tough. Because of I'm not trained to feel shock for my legs, instead of 200km run by bicycle. I know my weak point now. it means that I train my legs.
I checked training course of our club in my high-school life. That is 6 km. My average record was 24 minutes. it means 4 minutes for 1km. It is fast! So, I believe that I can run this pace by training.
I will run by my legs and bicycle.,
From small step for long way (30/03/2008)
I started running and walking after race watching of Moto GP in Spain. I stretched distance of walking instead of stop running. I will change running from walking step by step. By the way, it is good, temperature is 18 degree. Last Sunday was snow in Hamburg. So there are many German people in Stadt park.
I bought wear of Nike. So I can use iPod with running wear. it is useful to running. I will have to change time of new watch to summer time. My power song is "Rough Cut Diamond" on Ruriko Kubo.
And I bought ice cream at neighbor of my flat. Please refer below data. At once pace was down. But it is not to buy ice cream, it was to buy budget.

I felt relax time in my room on this week end. It was shower rain in the morning. So I cleaned my room after break fast.
I check distance calculation of iPod before lunch. I went to central station. I remember there is Nike shop front of central station. So, I bought new watch Nike Amp+。
This is not launched in Japan until now. I tested it in my room, it can use as remote controller of iPod nano. It can not use with iPod Touch. I must cut band of it to adjust my hand. So other people can not use it.
There is Japanese part in the operation manual of it. So it will be launched in Japan may be.
Pace of walking (28/03/2008)
I walked same course of yesterday to check my walking pace. Nike iPod calculated walking distance smaller than actual distance. I just check it tomorrow. My walking pace is about 9 minute for 1 km. So, my running pace is about 5 minutes for 1 km. Isn't it bad?

I stretched distance to 4km. I think Sidas is better to running than super feet. may be, Super feet is better to shoes that is used as usual for business.

I left office 6 o'clock, and start to use Nike+. At first, I start to walk to the Stadt park. And I returned to my house by running. It was totally 2.5km.
I could to show my data in my homepage. But it is not succeed to show it in Blog. Why?

I heard to Martin about "NIZEMI" He said "Why do you know NIZEMI?" I taught him that NIZEMI was suggested in one book that was written by husband of Chiaki Mukai. It is Bingo!! He builds NIZEMI and trained to use to Ms. Mukai. that used optics of Zeiss. But it used our product OM4, because only OM4 passed to use in zero gravity atmosphere. Should be, one apparatus, that was designed by me in optical part, will be launched to the space next may. So it is interesting that were two people who takes care apparatus that went or will go for the space in my office. Isn't it?
I felt that my priority is not money! My priority I technical satisfaction likes this.

I moved to Shinjuku Washington hotel. I avoid taking train with my heavy baggage in the morning. Already, I've got ticket of Narita express in next morning.
Tonight is lazy night in Japan. So I ate Tonkatsu at special shop for Tonkatsu in eastern Shinjuku. This is delicious. I will start to running when I back to Hamburg.
Driving Licence (22/03/2008)
I remember one issue by reading one Blog. Steve, he is service engineer in the UK” bring his driving licence. We talked about driving licence when we had dinner in London. Driving licence in Germany is like credit card. In the UK, they uses driving licence like credit card, and have official driving licence that is paper type. So, he brings official licence. There is not any picture. How policemen recognize who is he by this licence?
ちなみに、買ったことないけど、タバコは運転免許証を自動販売機に入れて年齢確認をします。ICカード式のクレジットカードでも可。なんで、日本はあんな専用のものを用意しないと駄目なんだろ？ ドイツを参考にしたのならば、同じにすればいいのに。

個展に行ったついでに、頼まれていた辞書があったので、それを買いついでに自分用の職場に置いておきたい早引き語学書も追加。買って満足しないで、きちんと手をつけないとね。
そんなに乗ってないというのもあるけれど、自転車関係の買出し意欲はまったくないなあ。必要なものは全部揃ってるし、完全ドイツ語ワールドだけどウェア＆部品の類はHHで買えるというのもある。サプリやクリームの類は「これがないと駄目」になるのが嫌でほとんど使ってないから問題ない。唯一のバルムの紫外線カットも去年使わなかったんじゃない？ 雑誌も選手年鑑がついてれば買って帰ろうかと思ったけど、それもないのでちょろっと立ち読みしただけ。
で、帰り際に調布で降りてメガネも受け取り。今もかけてるけど、本当に違和感なく作ってくれるのでここのお店はお気に入り。ここの立地で儲かるの？とも思う店なんだけど、受け取り待ちの箱が積んであったから、隠れファンが多いのかも。
そういえば、高校の同窓会が１００周年記念で名簿を作っているので、行き先不明者の連絡先を知ってたら連絡してちょうだい依頼がきてた。ふーん、２割くらいはもう連絡先不明なんだ。家を買ったわけでもなくて転居の可能性が高いので、おいらは連絡先はずぅーっと実家で固定。友達には現住所を教えてあるので、これで問題はない。

I withdraw my money from post office. Because of interest charge is not good now. I checked my money, then I found 2000 yen bill. I've forgot it until now. I read that 2 dollar bill is good luck charm in USA in "I follow you" But I've never heard it to Japanese 2000 yen bill.
And I build new glass. My favorite shop has my data from 20 years ago. So I can compare with old glass data.

I think that is totally different between to go to Europe as work or travel. I had to finish my task because I came to Hamburg as work not studies as trainee. but I think it is good experience for you.
I didn't write bad side because it is Blog that is opened for world wide. But I'm happy to hear your suggestion! I'm helped by good colleagues in my office.
I read "Sacrifice" I used only 2 hours. My friend said "I used 3 hours, you will use less time than me may be, because you know background of cycling racing" I think it is good books that suggest bicycling race.
I read "Flight checker captain" This is too interesting book! And I thought that I must check my work by my self.

So I went to lab that I joined in my muster degree. There is not apparatus that was designed and build by me. It is too tough to use, but it is useful to observe 2 dimensional data. So one professor, who is in Niigata Univ, bring it to his lab.
I'd like to memorize one word "NIZEMI" that I read in "I follow you" I will ask about it to Martin.
Repair watch (17/03/2008)
I requested to repair may favorite watch that broke last Jury when I fixed time lug between London and HH in the plane. I didn't have time to go to repair center in Eastern side of HH. I will use it in HH and use SKAGEN for business trio that needs correct time. What will me tomorrow until dinner with friend.
Avoid to jet lug (16/03/2008)
I went out for shopping, because I felt strong sleep. So, I avoid jet lug. I try to use mapping function of iPod Touch in center of Tokyo area. But it couldn't find current position. I could fine my current position at Apple store. I expect that work in city center area of Europe. Should be, it is possible to find current position in London.
I bought new mobile telephone machine that is charged by prepaid card. I avoid that telephone number change every case if I rent mobile telephone. I don't know that prepaid charged mobile phone of Au can't use E-mail.
I bought champagne of Moet Chandon in Frankfurt airport for parents. Today, we drunk it, bet there was so surprise things!

It took 4 hour to house from Narita airport by bus. In weekday, it is difficult to move on time by bus. I'll back to Hamburg at 24th when is end of Easter holiday in Europe. So, I booked hotel in Shinjuku and Narita express on 24th morning yesterday.
I looked sport wear shop before participate in party that celebrate retirement of my parents with family. Then I found one running wear that is possible to adapt iPod. It is great to running with iPod. So, I bought it yesterday. I'm planning to challenge one issue between by early summer. I think running is one of test of it, so I'll start training.
And I bought iPod touch! I'm interested in mapping function of it. In my house, it is impossible to find wireless LAN spot, so I'll try to find it somewhere. At once, I felt jet lug. So, I tried in the bed and woke up 7:00 AM today. I'll participate in some dinner with my friend on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I went for car shop to request to repair my car in the morning. Many person can speak English where sight seeing point. But many people can't speak English at car, tool and bicycle shop. In my experience, only 10% people can speak English at car shop. Today, I made document that is written by German and English. and I request to check German to Martin. Then I bring this document. So I could request to repair mirror and call our office after replacement of mirror. I think English area is easy to do like this situation. Because many people speak English as usual. Of course, Native English is very fast.
And price of parts that are complete unit of right side mirror, and cover of left side mirror, is only 30 Euro. It is cheap! I heard that price of full electric mirror unit was 200 Euro when one of Japanese colleague changed mirror of his car. Now, I'm front of gate to Frankfurt in Hamburg airport. I'll back go for Japan.
Holiday start (13/03/2008)
I will go to airport evening after job. I will arrive Narita airport tomorrow evening by flight via Frankfurt. At first, I must go to car shop to repair side mirror of my car, because I booked to repair this morning. I will go Hatsune-sushi next Wednesday night.

has come! I paid money at entrance of our company.
I back to home early today. I finished setup of my PC to possible to use Japanese. And I had installation of iTunes ver 7.6. So I can use Nike+ from now.
I'm writing this text by English OS PC now. I use English PC in the office. So it is easy to use it for me. Only IE ver 7 is strange for me. Martin said that his PC came by 3 days from same PC shop. Of course he ordered German PC for personal use. So, it is difficult to order product that is not sold in shops at foreign country.
Launch (11/03/2008)
A part of Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" was launched yesterday successfully.
As I write before in 本家の2004年11月「ちょっと宇宙へ」参照, I did design optics part of experimental apparatus for Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" So, I asked project person of our company today by e-mail. He answered that actual experimental part will be launched next flight in May. Part of exterior was launched tomorrow. In my mind, I would like to go for space instead of optics that was designed by me. I hope that we will be able to go for space easily in the future.
Today, I was not first person who came to office in the morning. Martin was faster than I. The different was only 5 seconds. He said, “I’m first. School in Germany is holiday from yesterday to end of Easter holiday, so, there is not traffic jam today” I see. I understand reason why there was not traffic jam at Berlinartor station.
For me, evening was tough time. Because of I study German in every Tuesday. But, it is easy to understand than lesson in the university. Because German teacher schemes to concentrate to “4-kaku” at first. It is same as English. Actually, we don’t use long sentence. And, it is surprise that Bench and Bank is same as “Bank” in German. I know morning and tomorrow am same together. Actually, there are different, morning is “Morgen” in German, tomorrow is “morgen” in German.

I said to Wolfgang as subject after I participated in Japanese German culture seminar. Buelent remind that I said as this when he was freshman of out team. And Wolfgang said to me, “You are not typical Japanese” after same lecture for German colleague. And, I’m not Classy Optical Guyではありませぬ。
There is one word “Japanese don’t say No” But I think it is not true. I think that true word is “Japanese don’t say Yes and No” There are many Japanese, who don’t answer by actual word Yes or No. At once, I asked to Wolfgang "Who is typical Japanese in our Japanese colleague in Hamburg and Japan office? He answered one person name. And, I asked additionally “Why do you select him?” He said “Because, he doesn’t answer Yes or No for any question” I understand and agree.
There is one problem, because he will come next month to participate in one meeting. And there is one plan to bring them to our customer site. But, I afraid that he will not any actual answer for request and question from customer. Customer expects that he will answer to request and question. Because of he comes from R&D Tokyo of Japanese company. From other point of view, his mind is that he bothers to go customer site.
We don’t abase ourselves to customer. Because it is natural in Europe that customer and we is even with give and take. But we have taken from customer when we go to customer site, because customer uses his time for us. So we must give any information instead of his time. Predecessor said me, “Please ask at least one question when you go to customer site, because you uses his time. So, you must show your interest to customer”

I bought DVD box of “From the earth to the moon” I watched it as TV program of NHK-BS. JFK spoke good English to listen for me. I like the episode 2Spyder” I heard that the building of R&D center of Grumman, which Lunar Module was developed there, is same as our warehouse before our American branch moved to Pennsylvania from Long Island. And it is interesting for me without this episode, because it shows seen of R&D.
I could understand English in this DVD, because there are many technical and scientific English. I searched “British English” in the Wikipedia There are comparisons between British English and American English. My English is based on British English now. It is easy to explain reason why of it. I borrow from German colleagues and scientist who spoke British English. In the Europe, even CNN international is made in England.
Recently, I’m lazy to check my English in English version diary. I'll check it.

I read Blog that is written by stuff of continental airlines in Narita airport. He writes that Rimowa is not strong, so he has been received many claim about broken suitcases. But I read other homepage that suggests Rimowa is strong. From this text, Rimowa is strong without big type salsa that is used by many Japanese travelers.
I think that Rimowa is no problem to my case for 1-week business trip in Europe area. Of course, 4 wheels version is not strong, so 2 wheels version is good.
Last week, I looked Rimowa of Martin. Un? It is not bummed that I feel before to look it. It is good instead of his use for many business trips. May be, big one is not strong. He said, “Should be, smaller one is best for business trip in Europe”
Of course, I will buy Lufthansa version if I buy it. Because of I live in Germany now. And I will use Samsonight for trip to Japan. I’m checking my bag and am thinking when I buy it.
This is my mileage’s card collection. I use these cards now, 3 big mileage’s club and Air Berlin.

Will come next Monday may be. PC shop sends copy of invoice from DHL. I will buy one of them that PC shop bought one lot of English OS version. So, they are afraid that there is delay for other customers and me.
Martin received additional mail from top of relational lab with us. Professor has satisfied performance of our products and optimize that was done by me. We offered low price to him. Of course we will get much information from him instead of low price offer, and we can use it as our customer demonstration.
I think top researcher has much money, which is not personal money and is budget for research. And also he gets low price offer. So there is good cycle.

I hit right side mirror of car at garage. Fortunately damage is only side mirror. I must make appointment to repair it. May be, it doesn't need time, because my car is cheap type, so it is easy to repair.
I’vet got thank you mail from customer. The alignment finished successfully, and he gets good performance that is twice of Zeiss. Martin said “It is one pint of beer for you. Shall we print out this mail and put it on the wall?” I’vet done my job to enough as my salary in this quarter period.
Actually, there is other alignment job still now. Of course I informed about it to customer before I leave for Hamburg Tuesday, and I explained it to Martin. So I will have to go to London once again. Is this mind negative? I think that this mind is clever mind. I’ll take care rest job; I know what I should do now.
By the way, I've not done training of service person. Of course, I do align without training, if there is request to do it. Because I designed main part that is not last week’s alignment point.

I read Blog of Tera-Papa He is good writer. I think it doesn't matter that I make target without to know my real fact. Real positive person looks and knows his good side and bad side, and solves all things immediately. How am I? I solve with bother feeling.
Last month, my old sister said to me, “That’s very clever” I forgot what I said to her. That was “You look active, but you are actually passive” Because I feel that she tried many things, but her mind was basically that she needs teacher or school. Exactly, it is possible to short cut that she learns from someone. But it based on that someone does for her.
It is not same as above. But I think it looks positive, but it is not real positive, actually it is negative, that someone makes target without looking real of him.
Of course, there is not answer what is good or bad. Actually, are you positive or negative?

From that movie, aircraft approached from east and wind blew from north. Why captain approach from east? Because of there is runway that run north and south. Exactly many aircraft takes off to north and approach from east in usual.

Today, there was not delay from London Heathrow to Hamburg. So, I could back home at 10:00 PM. I could walk to Piccadilly Circus from Holborn, because I finished my job early. And I went to Heathrow airport by underground. Now, I don’t bring guidebook of London City.
I knew the news at the Hamburg airport by suggestion from Martin at Monday night. Captain did good job! If you have interest about it, please search latest Blog by “Hamburg airport” Aircraft grazed not only left wing but also right wing.
Martin said that captain is 36 years old and co pilot is 24 years old woman. It’s too young!
Business trip to London (03/03/2008)
From now, I'll go to London. Martin has flown to London now. Because of he must take care customer. And I'll go to London as technical support. The decision was late, so I booked late morning flight, because it is cheaper than early flight. We can save money 300 Euro.
Martin finishes demonstration today, so he will back to HH at tomorrow morning. But I'll do customer training tomorrow, so I'll back to Hamburg tomorrow night. Will not my flight delay tomorrow? There is much delay in Heathrow airport like a German ICE. But sometimes flight will be on time when we don’t have enough time.
Come to grips with reality (02/03/2008)
My friend, who is class mate in university life” writes Blog. How about it in my case? There are many situations that I face in Europe. I must face reality of these things. Even in Japan, I faced reality of “English” and “Ball play performance” when I was student. I couldn’t escape from it.
Now, my policy is “Finish complicated tales first” Because I’m come to grips with reality” Because, sometimes I feel that I get complicated. So it is better that I finish before I fell get complicated. Sin’t it real? Other friend knows his Blog, so I don’t track back to his Blog today. As real that will be in the near future is Softball games. Can I escape from it?
I bought ticket of games of Hamburger SV from Japanese colleague. I went stadium. It was 1 and half years ago that I went it last time. I cheer HSV although Japanese football player Inamoto played game full time. Because, I live in Hamburg! Only Tera-Papa read this issue?
I talked with Wolfgang about I go to watch game of HSV last Friday. He has’t watched professional football game at stadium. Really? But, it is same as me; I've not watched professional baseball game at stadium. I went only world championship games of amateur baseball. Because my uncle gave me ticket. Then he was in first base coaches’ box.
Typical German? (01/03/2008)
At last night dinner, one Japanese colleague said, “I didn't speak with Michael. He is silent” Really? I talk with him so many. For example, I bought ear pad for him at Japan, because I know his hobby, electric, and car model. He said, “May be, e is typical German. At first, they are not friendly, but they change if you over one level” Ah so. Exactly, I think I over one level of him, because I talk with him many not only business trips but also Hamburg office. But you are in Hamburg over 4 years. For me it is not unbelievable. By the way, is it right that American is always welcome at fast, but it is difficult to know them deeply?
I bought new shoes. I discussed with shop person by using English, German little bit and body language. She checked shoe size and take care skin of shoes. I think it is good shop. Also, I bought skin care good for shoes in this shop. I’m not shoes collector, but I have 19 pair of shoes now. Is it much for man?
At intercalary day (01/03/2008)
I couldn't write daily. The last night dinner was too long. Japanese visitor slept at dinner. I think one of care of visitor is short dinner for him, because sometimes visitor feel tired. Of course sometimes we have long dinner to assist correct jet lug of him. And also I make an objection against to have Japanese dinner with only Japanese by using company cost. I think it is better to have dinner with German if we use cost of company. Especially, I saved cost two weeks ago in London by cut down date with our engineering effort.
We told, “Will today’s dinner be short?” between Japanese colleagues, who go business trip as usual. So we’d like to relax by back home early when we are in Hamburg. By the way, I arranged excel file to count flight numbers to count total business trip dates. Because I remember that wife of predecessor counted total date of business trip. Last year, I go out office total 66days. I think that I must do effort to go out about 100days in year. Of course I don’t know use. This year, I’ve gone out office 18 days. Shod be, it will be over 100 days.
I ate breakfast as same as lunch. Today it is rain in Hamburg, I will go out to shopping today.
