At corridor, One German colleague said me "Germany's Next Top Model is tonght!"
I checked calendar to discuss date of business trip with Tokyo side. I find shocking issue that 22nd May is holiday in only southern Germany area. HH is not holiday on this date! So, I count holiday without Sunday and Saturday. It is only 8 days. I count holiday of Tokyo. It is 25 days. If I use full vacation on pay 20 days. It is same as that I use 3 days at Tokyo. It is very few!!
There is one new colleague Miriam in our team. She got PhD that was led by Nobel prize researcher. And she worked since this month at one famous lab of prof. Hell in Max Prank. She is excellence. Today, I could talk with her. Because I wasn't in office at last week, and she has done training as new colleague still now. She said that her husband move to Hamburg last year end because he found new job in German newspaper company. So it is better for her and our team.
I heard that other Japanese colleagues don't talk about family, life and background like me with German colleague. And it is same as our USA office. really? I talked with our team member and service division member as not only business trip and also daily work in our office. Exactly, other office is too silence. And USA office use compartment style. So I'm happy to talk with open mind colleagues at open style office.
The PC hasn't come until now. I asked PC shop about status today once again. In latest information, new delivery date will be 1st of March. I will not able to set up PC next weekend.

Recently my TV holds on BBC world program. By the way, I think that weather reporter of weather information is typical English accent speaker in the age of 20 or 30’s British guy. I watched Pro7 today. Then I watched CM of "Germany's Next Top Model" This program will start from tomorrow. Actually, I watched this program only last year. At the service division I talked about this program. Then he said that there would be one TV program by one gay. At first I didn’t understand and “Is he walking trainer and gay?” That’s right. He is famous person in Germany now.
Home country (26/02/2008)
I realized that I’m fighting in home country of our competitors. I think they have only brand name in consumer product area. For example, they agree to their brand name if that company, which is relationship with them” satisfy their quality policy, Z is S, L is P, Z and L are optical company in Germany, S and P is electric company in Japan. But in our product area, they are still strong, and also they are challenging to develop new technology. Especially, company Z has longs 150 years history, and has strong brand image in researcher’s mind. So many researchers are waiting their demonstration when they open new products information.
So we must make our brand image step by step day by day. There is not any short cut path. Is it same as that Honda sell NSX-type R against Mercedes Mclaren SLR or Porsche carrera GTR? These products are same price range of our top products. Actually, Ferrari is new company than Mercedes or Porsche.
HSV (25/02/2008)
Today, I've got many mails from France. Subject of every mail include “Top urgent” or “!” By the way, I decide priority by myself. Although he add, “Top urgent”, I couldn’t understand what he’d like to ask. In this case, I answer “I can not understand. Let me know more detail and information about your question” today I had time, so I call him by tel. But he didn’t catch my cal!
It is general things that we talk about last weekend on each Monday. Martin said today “Our boy team had games with HSV” HSV is Hamburger SV. But that HSV is not top team that Takahara joined, and is third team that join 4th German national junior league. Martin said, “I talk coach of them. He is professional coach. He looks a team around Hamburg area. This year, they will scout at least 3 boy to HSV” I understand why HSV is strong and general system in Germany to make good football player.
Martin taught me that boy in HSV is training only 2 hour at each 4 day par week. Really? I think it is strange that Japanese cyclist thinks many training theory before he do enough training. And my training in this year is not enough. I think it is strange that Japanese school club system is wrong. Because Japanese football team is not high level like Germany although Japanese do many training.
Martin said, “The match was exciting. Finally we lost as 1 –4, but until last 10 minutes, we were 1-12 2really? It7s great” “And, there were 3 yellow cards and 1 red card. At last, goal keeper of HSV and our boy fight!” Is it other exciting? By the way, Martin checked at London. German national football association has web site, and they update result even local league.
I caught telephone that called Wolfgang. It was call from Andreas who works at Hiderberg as home office. “Is it Ken? How are you? I bought new bike! It is trek!” “Really? Is it man powered bike or engine?” “It’s man power” “trek is expensive bike. Is it carbon fiber?” “It’s aluminum. Because I afraid carbon is not good for MTB” So, we talked about bicycle 5 minutes. “By the way, I’m doing homework of German lesson. And, Wolfgang is not available today. He is in Munich” I think it is reason why I don’t have German friend out of company, because I can talk about hobby with many colleagues.
Private communication (24/02/2008)
I misunderstand that worker can not work after 10 o’clock in German. There was one colleague who tried to work after 10 PM, and then he touched IR sensor, and the guard find him and he hold up. I know him. In my company, the guard is not same as daytime and night. Basically, I go back early and make dinner by myself because I’m single man. Of course I work enough time because I come to office 7:30 AM. It is better to push Japan. And we can not work at Sunday, because we can not enter office at Sunday. So I realize that Sunday is rest day. It is good rule for me.
Sometimes I check mail on Sunday. Sometimes I find mail that come from Israel. Because Israel work on Sunday. Their weekend is Friday and Saturday. Then I decide that I don’t look that mail and answer to it on next Monday.
Credit Card (24/02/2008)
Today I organized credit card. Basically I use Deutsche bank Master card for Europe and ANA SFC VISA card for Japan basically. So I changed account for settlement of some payments in Japan to ANA VISA for example PC provider Plala. And also, I requested to VISA to send me application letter to charge point to ANA mileages automatically. Actually, I’d like to save point of payment for Deutsche Bank as ANA mileages. Because of I pay over 10,000 Euro per year as Hotel at business trip.
And I searched other credit card that I forget. I found Mydo card that I made account as relationship between our R&D and Nisseki. I’ll be able to get slim my account if I can break an engagement of this card. Should be it is enough to Europe and Japan if I use VISA and Master card. I don’t need JCB, AMEX and Diners.
When I went to Paris last summer to watch tour of France last stage, I bought “Paris Visit” at travel information in Paris Nord Station. Then service person asked me “Where do you come from?” although I showed Japanese travel guidebook. May be she surprised that I used Deutsche Bank card to pay.

I read “Odyssey 2010” about several ten times than “Odyssey 2001” Therefore I know all stories of it, and can understand story very well even American English. There are not same as original story. For example “Chan” is not available and astronauts didn’t use spring bar to go to ship “Discovery” I think it is difficult to understand without read original book like a “Odyssey 2001”
I send one E-mail by writing German at last Thursday, because Wolfgang will go to Munich next week, and I7d like to request him to push PC shop about my English PC order. I received answer at Friday; there is 3 times delay to come from China. I request only “English Windows XP OS, 1GB RAM and 160GB HDD”, so I knew that PC supplier is Lenovo t Friday first time. At first I heard that PC supplier shipped out it at 1st of February when I back to Hamburg from Tokyo.
“Should be, it’s normal in Germany” is suggestion from Japanese and German colleagues in our company. If you’d like to buy special item that is not sold in the shop, you must be vital. You will angry if you’d like to do every thing like a Japan. But I think Germany is better. I can not imagine if I’m in Italy or France. Because these country colleagues send request mail wit “Top urgent!” every time. But they answer too late if I asked question with answer for them. Usually, top of each country’s office is good person, but second level colleagues are depending on country culture. Fortunately, I have a job with UK and Germany now.
And I received mail from parent’s house that my note PC has repaired already. So I will able to pick up it holiday in next month. I will use English PC as first one, and Japanese note PC as back up.

I flew 10 times in this year. I count total numbers of airport that I've took of and landed since now. I recorded total flight since I came to Hamburg. Because I remembered that Mr. Ｙamagishi said, "I recorded flight number when I was in the USA. The total number over 200"

There was sale 17 UK Pound as 3 DVD at HMV in the Heathrow airport. I bought “Miss Potter”, “Pride & Prejudice” and “Amelie” “Amelie” is French with English sub title. I’ll watch it next weekend.
This is the fog in London. I couldn’t UCL building. Martin said that captain announced “The landing was full automatic”
Milage Card Collector (21/02/2008)
At first, we estimated that we need total 5 days to re-adjustment, replacement and final correction. Actually we could finish work only three days. So we backed to Hamburg yesterday night. Therefore we could save cost total 100,000 yen. Martin came to customer site to check final situation and discuss with professor. Finally we could back to Hamburg with smile.
But the flight was delayed 2 hours. So I went to bed as soon as I arrived home last night. Therefore, t is better to use Lufthansa or ANA to come t Hamburg from Tokyo. Because of there is much flight between Hamburg and Frankfurt or Munich. At once, One Japanese visitor could back to Tokyo to get ANA when he lost flight to Tokyo from Munich. Sometimes there are visitors who would like to get mile to one world or sky team. But I think it is dangerous to miss connection flight.
I’ve changed to mirages member card of British Airway from now. Because I couldn’t use JAL mileage banks card at quick check in machine of BA. So I had to register mile at baggage drop counter. This week until now, I don’t have card of BA, so I had to register my number at counter when I went to London. But I didn’t need to register my number at return flight. Should be, I’ll get card. I can’t save enough miles to get flight ticket. So I thought that I use mile as gift for Japan. But I can’t do now because I changed to BA mileage member. By the way, how to use 10,000miles that will lost end of this year? Is it better to gift expensive beef?
Food series (20/02/2008)
Yesterday, Steve came to customer site. So, Steve, Olaf and I went to dinner together. Steve asked me, “Do you know good restaurant?” I answered, ”Is it OK to go to Italian?” We went Italian restaurant that is not same as I went to day before yesterday.
I watched how Steve uses knife and fork to eat pasta. He hands these as same as traditional western stile. But he hands knife like a pencil or surgery knife. I remembered that sometimes Andy hands knife like this. Now I’m correcting to how to use knife but. And also European sometimes hands fork like knife. I think Japanese is fuss for that. European is free than Japanese thinks. It is not bad mannered that we don’t order starter and coffee. Important thing is to eat as you like.

Shopping of DVD (19/02/2008)
It’s British Museum and UCL (University Collage of London) this is first time to look these building by 5-time visit. Joe Sanderson was in this building of UCL. Is he in still now?
We’ve got answer from Professor, “Good! Thank you” with smile. So basically my job finished. He is VIP customer. But we call first name each other; I don’t have to downgrade myself for him. Actually I heard from Japanese colleague, who works for medical area, that he must support Japanese doctor at holiday if they come to Europe. We don’t take care him like this. I don’t know he is doctor or not. Of course I must explain what I change his apparatus and reason why of it in physical. I think top researcher knows physics very well although his background is medical or biological area. They don’t hesitate to discuss about all area. I think that this is typical behavior of real top researcher. Sometimes second researcher hesitates to know other research area. I think that is reason why they are not top.
I went HMV in front of Covent Garden, and bought "Castle of Cariostlo" that was requested by my sister. But it is Japanese with English subtitle and English voice only. So it can not watch English with English subtitle. And also I found and bought "2010 Space odyssey" I can not count how many times I read that’s book. I am looking forward to watch it next weekend. And I bought "Men in the Black2" and "Ghost in the shell special edition" If I can find "My neighbor Yamada family" then I buy it. I'm interesting to that's English.
I talked with Olaf about DVD. He doesn’t know Hayao Miyazaki, but he knows “Princes Mononoke” I suggest that the location of Whisper of Heart is my hometown and I love these area. In the Europe, for movie mania, “Akira” and “Ghost in the shell” is famous than film of Hayao Miyazaki studio. Actually, I looked many these series DVD in HMV shop yesterday. He surprised that I bought 2 DVD set of “Ghost in the shell” was only 10 pounds. Why is the price of DVD cheaper than other area? And I said that I like “Odyssey 2010” than “Odyssey 2001” then he had interest that. In Japan, many person doesn’t know “Odyssey 2010”.
By the way, I have DVD of "Tales from Earthsea" But. It is not interesting... If you'd like looking it, I'll bring it to meeting at Hatsune sushi and give it when I go to Japan next month. May be it can help to study English.

I’ve came to London. Olaf eat only light dinner. So I went to shopping and eat dinner alone.
We don’t think which direction is right, when we arrived underground station. The reception lady recognized us and called professor without reservation. Should be, I’ll come hear again and again, because there is VIP customer. Today immigration officer asked only “Business trip?”
By the way, we’ve got mail suddenly that requested to go to Tokyo mid of March. I answered that it is impossible! I’ll back to Japan these days as private trip. We must discuss schedule each other since 2 month before because there is not any vacation like GW, summer and End of Year in Japan. If Tokyo asked 3 month before, we answered our schedule. The best way is that we have meeting at GW in Japan because cost and booking of flight is better.
And I’ll go to Japan as another business trip on April. We’ll have meeting for European sales and invite Japanese visitor, but my priority is to participate meeting in Tokyo that was decided by Martin and Gunnar in the morning. May be, I won prize from Gunnar about last meeting in Tokyo. Because of I didn’t translate his English indistinctly. And I said, “Which is your priority as Tokyo side? I think our priority is…” as European side official talk, when Tokyo did meeting as let the matter ride. For me it is easy to say myself. Tokyo side gave me a dirty look. But I don’t mind about it, because many Japanese colleagues recognized that it is my task as European side, who worked in foreign office.
And also, without 20% of my salary that is charged by Japan to pay tax, insurance and pension, Europe office charged my 80% of salary. I forget Japan side charges my bonus. But I can’t use it because it pays to one of bank account that I can’t use.
Terrible goods (17/02/2008)
I’ll left early morning tomorrow to go to London as business trip. And also I feel tire because of business trip to Japan. So I spend to relax in my room today. I’d like to go to shopping to central station area. But today is Sunday that all shop is closed. May be, next week end will be as usual. I expected that I could set up new desktop PC, when I back to Hamburg. That has not come until now. That is Germany.
I watched news that some supplier of car parts was dug up. Because they sold pats that has not enough performance as they explain. When I bought Nike’s sport wear, then I looked some goods like Phiten at till. Do these parts have real performance? I don’t believe it without result of blind test. For example, why SEV was not dug up? I looked homepage of SEV. In this page, they explain that SEV can decrease vibration if SEV attached top of rod. For me it is normal as physics. Because of heavy weight on the end of rod can decrease characteristic frequency. All the more, I don’t believe performance of these goods.
By the way, Is the arm band that was used by Simoni selling until now?

Yesterday, I didn’t update diary because we went dinner. So I update twice today.
I went farewell tennis party of Japanese colleagues. At first practice, I was tired. I’m totally lack of exercise especially stop and go. The working at foreign branch is better to know each other between different business group in company. Exactly we know each other in the optical engineer world. But I don’t know other engineering person without personal friends.
By the way, I checked web site and know that I can use credit card lounge because I’m gold card of DFC holder. May be, I use my time at Starbucks coffee or bookshop at Narita airport. I don’t have interest of states of credit card. I use credit card only to pay hotel charge at personal or business trip and Internet shopping. And if I have good states credit card, there is limitation of my money. My main credit card is standard master card of German bank.

I’ll have plan in afternoon today. So I relax today and prepare my room.
Tomorrow, I talked with one Japanese colleague, who did mirages, run like me and was filling register sheet of Super Flyers Card. Then I recognized expiration date of my card. It is until November 2012. Last end of year, I read some blog that was written about expiration date and it was only 11 year. I think rules of SFC will change year by year. But my card is effective 5 years. Reason why of it is that my card is gold card? At least, I’ll be Star alliance Gold member 5 years. It will be effective when I’ll be in Hamburg.
Time difference (14/02/2008)
Don’t you know time difference between Portugal and central continental time? In my point of view, job in Portugal is controlled by Spanish office, so I don’t think time difference of Portugal. Usually I think time difference for UK and Israel.
I think 40 Euro charge is too cheep. Because sometimes colleagues said that German hotel is cheaper than other countries. But normal price is about 60 Euro. And Internet cost 10 Euro/hour is average level.
By the way, I talked with one colleague who works in the USA. For me it is unbelievable that Japanese colleagues apply many 1-night stay trips to his boss. If this rule is used in our Europe office, I must apply all mirages run in last year. Of course, our working visa is charged by company, so we can’t do everything, as we like. But I think the rule in USA office hasn’t been revised too long time.
Receipt (13/02/2008)
Now, I'm report to Martin. So I must get his sign to travel expense sheet. Yesterday, I requested it and sowed sheet. Then he suggested me "If you staied parents home and gave gift that is reasonable price. You can charge that cost. Basically this is tax saving reason" I don't know about it. So, it was possible to charge price of gift for my parents. Actually I wouldn't like to charge it to company even I didn't bring receipt of gift.
By the way, I’ve busy after return to HH. We discussed about several years’ future issues at the meeting in Tokyo. But I have to take care issues that are several month, week and minutes futures in HH today. I’ve done these issues with rapidly by controlling my mind.
And I’ve started German lesson since yesterday. Actually that started last week. So I escaped first lesson because I went to Japan as business trip. There were only two students yesterday. One of them is I. So, I could training German enough time.
Adjust (12/02/2008)
Yesterday, I was totally tired when I back home. So, I didn’t boot PC and went to bed after light turnout. I changed my time after boarding at Narita, so I’ve adjusted my time to HH time. I think it is better to adjust time under duress if it is once per month level.
By the way, Famous actress Ms Sayuri Yoshinaga used same flight to Frankfurt from Narita. I could watch her with distance 1m at gate in Frankfurt airport, because the gate to Berlin was opposite side of gate to HH. She went to Berlin to participate in Berlin film festival in next weekend. I thought she was in sheet at gate with attendant. But she looked shop at gate. So, I misunderstood that she is not Ms Yoshinaga at first. She was very beautiful and wore simple yet elegant suit.
Sometimes I think that priority boarding doesn’t have a point. Why priority passenger would like to board early? If they are real priority people, they will board last and can use time at the ground for themselves. Martin and I are not major, but we would like to board final. Of course we don’t need bring big baggage on cabin, because we put our big baggage that include tools. Ms Sayuri Yoshinaga board as last passenger. I think she is real celebrity.
From this time, I get mile twice of real mile. And I could use priority check in counter and priority security check lane. I think that I must mind out that I will not delude oneself “I am cerebrate” by using priority items. Mind out myself. Be modest.
Insole (10/02/2008)
I went to Roppongi Mid Town with family. And we went to others each other. I bought additional several kinds and same size insole to check it which is better to each shoes. I think that I must try long time if these were better or not. As I write sometimes ago, I insert washer between cleat and bike shoes to change tilt angle. Then I improved my performance for road bicycle by these washers. I could improve speed and distance that I ride bike. Therefore I’ve used SIDAS insole for bicycle shoes. But this effect of washer needs to check at least 60km-bicycle ride. I know human feeling is ambiguous, so I must check it by long term and one by one test.
I bought comic “Capeta” that is requested by Japanese colleague. And I bought one book that was written by writer, who wrote Fermar’s low. Finally, my baggage is 27.5kg. I’ll be able to additional items at Narita airport.
And I observed my weight. My weight is 59kg and my body fat percentage is 13%. When I went each office in Japan, many colleagues sad “It looks that you lost your weight. Are you all right?” Exactly, I lost my weight.
Shopping diary in Japan (09/02/2008)
I finished shopping that was planed. I postponed buying new glass because I’d like to use enough time for select flame and check adjusts. And also I could tools for my job. I observed weight of my suitcase. That is 25 kg now. I can add some items. But, Raise cookies occupied space of it. May be, I’ll buy more books.
I thought what is better souvenir for Japanese in my division. I thought books are better. Especially woman magazine is better.
Final day for job (08/02/2008)
I left office before 7 PM because today is final day to go to office in Japan. And I did shopping at Hachioji. And I got many items to use for job at office. I’ve got clear manicure that I requested it to colleagues in advance. The rest of shopping list is glass and insole.
I requested on job to one person who went university in USA as study in master degree charged by company. We talked many issues, for example American English and British English. I misunderstood that standard American English is eastern part English. He said that West Coast especially Californian English is spoken in TV program. And we talk about temporary return to Japan. He said “I was suggested that I don’t back to Japan in the period 2 years. My priority was to graduate university” Umm, I agree that if my job period in German is fixed, but I don’t know when I’ll back to Japan. So, Please back to Japan at next March as private trip.
Because of business trip (07/02/2008)
Tomorrow was final day, which I worked with German colleagues. We had meeting until 10 PM, and move to parent’s house that is in Hachioji. Today, I went to R&D that I was in it 2 years ago. I left office after 9 PM today. Because there were some meetings, for example one person asked technical questions that only I could answer. It is better that other person think “ask to Ken because he is in here today” I’ve had only 2 hours that I can use for myself after I arrived to Japan this week.
There was serious meeting yesterday. I talked one person who participated in it yesterday “Yesterday meeting was most bad atmosphere one in the past” Of course I think that I must translate exactly and I felt bother. So I didn’t translate from English to Japanese with cushion. And also I suggest my opinion that is opposite of Japan side. I think it is easy to translate in one by one meeting to explanation. It is too difficult to translate in the meeting that are many participants and have discussion. And basically German side has many suggestions and opinion. So, many Japanese glare me. I think that American is mild than German and European. For me, American is silent.
Cold sweat (05/02/2008)
Today’s translate was too difficult. Because of we discussed general discussion as project. So I must translate to give a full and particular account of delicate nuance. Actually, sometimes I freeze, and someone helped me. Finally, we discussed technological issue. Then I could translate easily.
Generally, we don’t sweat with fear because of I don’t have enough performance. Age. Because of we have enough performance to do the job. Of course, we sweat with fear in case that we must do important decision or there is limited time. Today, I sweat with fear. But it is good experience. I heard that I must face bad situation to improve my English.
And today, Japanese would like to do meeting without clear decision as typical Japanese way. But German side would like to get commitment, so meeting went round the circus. In the break time, I suggested to Japanese side “May be, meeting will not done, if your side continue this situation” Then Japanese side angry. Japan side expect me to do help Japan side. But my main purpose is supporting German side. So, I must suggest as Germany side.

I watched TV program Ainori. This program suggests employee rule in German. Exactly, maximum working time is 38 hour in week. But Martin and Wolfgang made other working contract that depends on result of job. So they don’t have maximum limit. By the way, German checks working time when they go to have cigarette. Because of they don’t work in this cigarette time. Basically German works full maximum in working time. And holiday is almost same as Japan if employee get all holiday.
For me, Today’s Ainori is too tough.
Today, Americans and we had dinner. I felt that I could hear American English well than last August meeting. And, translate is very difficult. I must translate 100%, but sometimes other one corrects me.
I bought toolbox and Nike+ before dinner. And I got information at dinner that Yodobashi camera opens until 10:00 PM. So I went Yodobashi camera and bought iPod goods. When I left home in HH, then it was snow. And Tokyo is snow. For me London was colder than today's Tokyo even it was not rain and snow in London last week.
I went to Kaitensushi as dinner with German. Because he can understand which kind of food is available by him. But there was not any Sushi on the moving belt. Because it was snow. So Sushi master afraid that Sushi will be bad. I order Sushi for him. There is woman stuff that can speak English very well than me; especially she knows fish name very well. I felt that I must study English more and more. There are many English speakers in Japan now. I need specialty for example optical English.
And I've finished to buy books (Omakeno-ko Tantei-Galirei, Eijiro), ear pad and repair order of PC.
By the way, ANA handled my baggage as first class. So, I could catch up very fast. It was faster than baggage of German colleague who flew as business class.
Shopping list in Japan (02/02/2008)
Recently, I've inserted SIDAS insoles into work shoes. I listen super-feet is good, but there is not any sales at sport shop in Hamburg. Europe is national market for SIDAS. So, I’ve counted up what I’d like to buy in Japan when I’ll go next week.
Private use: Super feet insole possibly custom version for work use, Order to repair may private note PC, Pocketbook version of "Omakenoko” and "Jack Galileo", Eijiro that is English dictionary software book, set of Nike+ for iPod, Glasses, iPod holder for car, iPod arm holder for running, Ear pad that is requested by Michael, Rice cookie that is mine and also Wolfgang requested.
Business use: Glasses, Mirror, Sample for my daily job, tool box that is bigger than just I use now, Manicure that color is clear.
I finished packing by 10 minutes. I must bring suit because I will go to head quarter Monday to Wednesday. I bring slacks in hand baggage, and wear black jacket as juts to be make sure. I heard Gunnar would bring big hand baggage with minimum business wear, because ha faced terrible situation when he went to Japan. I will be able to wear business casual style in Thursday to Friday, because I will go to R&D.
Just now, I leave to Japan as business trip. I will go Hatsune-sushi at private trip in March. Please wait.

I feel tire because I went to London as business trip two weeks and will go to Japan. It is better for me that I will have individual meeting Thursday to Friday without German colleague. Sometimes I feel stress by business trip with German colleague because I can’t use my time In Japan. But this is better than business trip in Europe with Japanese visitor. For example they asked at central bus terminal in Heathrow airport “Why there is not information even 5 minutes before of departure? It is unbelievable” I think it is kindness because there is information. May be, there is delay caused by traffic jam.
Other Japanese colleagues know that I am star alliance gold states holder. There is one rumor that I up grade to business class by using my point. I’ll use point for parents when they will come to Europe as trip. Of course, I don’t refuse request that is offered by airlines when I check in. For me, food is not important because it is only flight meal. If I’d like to eat good taste food, then I’ll go restaurant before boarding. So, I’ll satisfy exit low because foot area of this sheet is large.
For me, lounge is not important. I used Lufthansa lounge in Heathrow. Because I had time to boarding when I went to Oxford with Japanese visitors. I read book only in this time. Do you eat and drink free charge? So, my important tings are that possibility to use priority counter, the order of priority in waiting list at urgent situation, weight limitation of baggage and extra miles when I go to Japan. If I'm in Europe and have many business trip, I didn't do milage run last year.
Heathrow is one of airport that I like without flight delay and jam. In immigration I must write where I stay on immigration card. I don’t like it because I don’t do same procedure in European continental flight. But I can pass easily. I write optical engineer in occupancy and say that my purpose is installation at customer side or academic meeting or academic workshop. Sometimes officer asks which kind of optics I support.
Many people said that safety check in Heathrow is not good. But we must not take out PC from bag since 7th January in Heathrow airport. And also I didn’t have to take off shoes this week. So, Que. is long, but I didn’t wait long time. For me worst airport is terminal 1 of Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
Quick check in machine of British Airway asks some questions that are asked in domestic airlines in USA if you packed baggage your self, if someone brought something. Other person was asked same questions at baggage drop. But I’ve not been asked this question. Why? Is this depends on personal grace?

There was one document in my post box when I backed from London last night. Of course it is written in German language. There are some sentences for example Music etc. I heard that German people claim by document if neighbor make sounds mid night or early morning. Is this?
I request to read it to Martin today. He read it and said. “This is general request document from hose keeper in your flat” This document request to all people to keep clean stair in your house. If people don’t keep clean, they will be charged cost to clean house. Then people claim to high cost. Martin suggests me that there are many documents like this in flat type house in Germany.

By the way, I've not up dated picutre of London. So I up date picture today.
Sometimes many people sadi that food is not taste in UK. But it is good for me, because there are many kind of food Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Indian etc. But British people said 'typical British food isn't good".
And I bought many DVD at Heathrow airport. I bout Kill-Bill because I'd like to look Lin says "Yatchimaina!"
