Audience can look the panorama vision into the spyglass. It is synchronized with the video picture and turning Spyglass. This is the system for to look the part of 360 degree's virtual space. And, there are zooming handle which audience can zoom in or out to try to reach horizon. In purpose of this system, we measure to psychological distance between people and people to use the movies which use the ocean and the horizon.

Theme,

I keep observing the horizon with Spyglass. We cannot never approach the horizontal outskirts even if zooming much. And, We seeing Spyglass are solitary travelers who stand in a vast sea.
I feel our world is the journey of the soul, and thinking that this journey is an act that try seeing psychology of others in the other side of the horizon. Basically human is lonely traveler who tries to know others people. We aren't able to understand each other completely, and have a wish that understanding more and sharing our thinking. Human keeps seeing the horizon of psychology, and tries to see the invisible things.
Additionally, There is a truth that we can't never reach in the horizon.
We are an eternal traveler who journey the world.

　「Spyglass」は望遠鏡を上下左右に回転させることにより360°の全方角の映像を見ることが出来ます。また、手前のハンドルを回すことにより遠くの世界を手前に引き寄せることも可能です。この望遠鏡で見えるモノは、遙か遠くにある肉眼では見えない広大な海とその水平線です。この作品は現実の望遠鏡を模したものではなく、人間と人間の心理的な距離を推し量るために制作されました。

作品のコンセプトについて

　私は望遠鏡で水平線を観察し続けます。水平線とはどれだけズームしようも決して水平の果てに近づくことは出来ません。そして、この望遠鏡をのぞいている鑑賞者は広大な海の中にたたずむ孤独な旅人でもあります。
　私は、現代に私達が生きている世界を魂の旅であると感じ、この旅は水平線の向こうにあるであろう他人の心理を見つめようとする行為ではないかと思うのです。基本的に人間は孤独であるがゆえに、他人の事を知ろうとします。すべての人間と分かり合うことは出来ないかもしれませんが、少しでも理解し、思いを共有したいという願いがあります。人間は心理という水平線を見続け、見えないものを見ようとします。
また、水平線の向こう側には我々が決して到達することの出来ない真実が隠されているのかもしれません。人間は世界を旅する永遠の旅人なのです。
