This is the installation when I had exchange exhibition between Japan and Germany. I put the black telephone and projecting the image on the wall in the warehouse.
The theme is second world war. Audience can talk to famous person who is in second world war. In this system, we can talk with historical person who doesn't exist now getting over the time.

Audience picks up the telephone and dial the number. we can hear the calling sound. and then, somebody takes the phone. If you didn't make a phone call, suddenly there are calling sound. so you have to take the phone.
When you take the phone, you have failure the communicate always. In fact, it is impossible to communicate past person. You can speak and hear, but you can't communicate as same as normal telephone.

I think its same things in our world. we can see and hear the history. But we can't change and interrupt the past time. So we can't change the history. We only learn the history . and we will have action under the learning the history into the future. we have a obligation of keeping memory about the history and telling next generation.
